LARA is a shoegaze band from the south of Metro Manila that channels love, existentialism, and pain into reverb and heavy dirt tones. The band was formed in June 2017 by founding members Jed, Paul, Jezree, and Bruce, who were schoolmates in a local high school in Taguig City. Throughout the years, the band experienced its share of lineup changes, presently consisting of founding members Jed, Paul, and Bruce, along with recent additions Lance, Bren, and Kurt.

LARA's music is heavily influenced by a variety of styles from shoegaze & dream pop to post-rock and post-metal, reminiscent of artists such as Deftones, Loathe, Turnover, and Title Fight. Since their inception, they have played many notable shows, including twice as an opener for Japanese shoegaze band Mass of the Fermenting Dregs during their Manila tour.

After independently releasing their first full-length album "Disambiguate" in January 2025, LARA wasted no time in kicking off a new album campaign. They are currently in the early stages of writing for their sophomore record, their first effort to be released after recently signing with independent label Melt Records.
