French shoegaze quintet Pam Risourié has dropped their long anticipated debut album “Days of Distortion“, an 8-track ethereal masterpiece that includes previously released singles “You are the Sound” and “High on a Wire”. The album has been available on streaming platforms and on the Melt Records Bandcamp since March 17th, 2023.
The album, described by Atwood Magazine as a “visceral record” and “the stuff of dreams”, was recorded in Normandy by the band You Said Strange, mixed and produced by Lucas Ramos at OneTwoPassIt Studio (Guts, Frustration) and mastered by Simon Scott, the drummer of the iconic shoegaze band Slowdive. Pam Risourie considers this an album an invitation to “explore a mental landscape through the prism of an introspective trip”.
The album is co-released by Icy Cold Records, Melt Records, Pyrrhic Victory Recordings, and Shoredive Records. The 12″ vinyl release is expected to be available in the Philippines at a later date via Melt Records.
