DAVAO CITY, Philippines — Davao’s iconic pop punk band The Sound of Go have just broken the silence with a brand new track called Far From Over. The new release is available now on all major streaming platforms and Bandcamp.
“Far From Over” is the band’s first release since their previous single “Japan” was released in October 2022. The new song is about “fighting for the people that we love and the lengths we would go to to keep them in our lives”, the band shares.
Staying true to The Sound of Go’s already prolific legacy, both heavy riffs and catchy hooks sparkle throughout the four-minute track. The structure of the song is playful, kicking everything off with a driving rock-and-roll bass line and guitar riff then oscillating through dynamic verses and refrains, and capping everything off with an anthemic chorus at the end.
While there is no definite plan yet for a follow up, fans of the band can expect more music from The Sound of Go in the coming months as they are currently spending time in the studio crafting more banging new pop punk tunes for their listeners.
