Iloilo pop punk band Pulsing Chunky return with their third album and second full-length effort, “Dandelion”.

ILOILO CITY, Philippines — Iloilo pop-punk band Pulsing Chunky returns today with the release of their third album, Dandelion, now available on Spotify, other major streaming services, and for download on the Melt Records Bandcamp.

Building on the groundwork laid by their earlier releases — the EP Ephemeral State of Mind and the LP thought you’d never ask — the band leans into a more textured and emotive sound on Dandelion. While still anchored in their energetic pop-punk foundation, the new record incorporates darker emo influences that underscore themes of resilience, inner struggle, and personal growth. These ideas run through the album’s previously released singles “Everbloom,” “Things Left Untold,” and “Can You Feel It.”

According to the band, Dandelion represents both a look back and a step forward: a blend of the styles that shaped their early years and the newer musical directions they’ve embraced. “This album is about resilience and the fight within oneself,” the group shares. “It reflects the challenges we all encounter as we grow and overcome adversities — re-emerging and moving forward, just like a dandelion.”

Fans in Iloilo were given an early taste of the album during a prerelease party held on November 17 at Homegrowns, where attendees received exclusive advance downloads. The event also highlighted the band’s hands-on approach to this project — Dandelion features cover art created by the members themselves, while longtime collaborator nosleepfortenenen handled mixing and mastering. The band also extended special thanks to Lilith Apuan of The Queens, whose support they credit as part of bringing the album to completion.

Dandelion is out now worldwide. Stream it on Spotify or download it via the Melt Records Bandcamp.
