CEBU CITY, Philippines – Just in time for summer season, Cebu pop rock band The Qings are giving their debut single “Samantha” a fresh pulse for 2026. This time, the boys are bringing in producer ST3R10 to flip the switch.
Originally released in 2025, “Samantha” marked the band’s first official step into Bisaya pop. The track landed on Spotify playlists like BISDAK! and OPM Rising, quietly building momentum and introducing the quintet’s melodic, emotionally charged sound to a wider audience.
Now, the remix leans into a new mood.
“There’s a more playful vibe,” ST3R10 teased. “I’m also making the song more electronic, converting it into an Indie Dance/Nu Disco track. The main inspiration was the thought process behind how I made the instrumental for my own single, ‘heart emoji.’”
“We’re very excited to share Bisaya music to more audiences around the world,” the band said. “We’re glad that ‘Samantha’ now has two moods, and people can choose which one they feel like vibing with.”
The ST3R10 remix introduces layered synth textures, dance-driven rhythms and a reimagined progression that reshapes the song’s energy without stripping away its core identity.
“I wanted to keep the intention of the song but make it more melancholic,” ST3R10 added. The remix is proof that Bisaya music continues to evolve while staying rooted in story and melody.
