CEBU CITY – Acclaimed Cebuano singer-songwriter Keith Human is set to release his latest single, “The Age Of Abandonment“, on August 7, 2026. This highly anticipated release is a testament to Keith Human‘s unique ability to craft musical narratives that resonate with listeners of all ages.
“‘The Age of Abandonment’ was written shortly after I finished reading Freya India’s essay of the same name that resonated with me deeply,” says Keith Human. “The lyrics were inspired by fragments I had collected over time — phrases encountered online, passing thoughts, and short sentences that felt universal enough to resonate with anyone, yet concise enough to be tattooed.”
“The Age Of Abandonment” is a masterfully produced track, with Keith Human himself and Franco Miguel Dosdos, also known as ST3R10, at the helm of production. Dosdos also handled the mixing and mastering of the final recording.
The release also includes an acoustic version of the track, “heart emoji (acoustic version)”, which offers a stripped-down and intimate take on the song with Keith Human on acoustic guitar and main vocals and Miguel Cartier Zebediah on percussion and djembe.
The cover art for The Age Of Abandonment was designed by acclaimed design studio Inodoro™, adding a visual element to the release that is both striking and thought-provoking.
With a career spanning over a decade, Keith Human has established himself as a talented and innovative artist, with a unique sound that blends elements of folk, rock, and pop. His previous releases, including The Bedroom Voice and The Pink EP, have laid the foundation for his evolving sound and storytelling. In 2021, he signed with Melt Records and released his debut single Leave Your Baggage By The Door, part of his acclaimed debut album Boringly Wild which was subsequently released in 2023.
