ILOILO CITY, Philippines — Pop punk band Pulsing Chunky is back with two new tracks, their first new music following the 2023 release of their debut full-length album thought you’d never ask and subsequent nationwide tour last year. ‘Everbloom’ and ‘Things Left Untold’ are now available on all major streaming platforms and Bandcamp.
Both tracks are set to be included in a yet undisclosed album release that the band hopes to complete within 2025.
“Compared to thought you’d never ask, we tried to be more straightforward with our approach in terms of lyric writing and the melody,” describes vocalist Pablo Leda III. “The previous album was more complicated to produce than with the current songs we are lining up.”
“Being able to see and experience different live acts all over the country really helped us improve our perspective when it comes to writing songs.”

The extensive touring that the band did in the last year also had an impact on how the songs for the forthcoming album, including ‘Everbloom’ and ‘Things Left Untold’, turned out. “Being able to see and experience different live acts all over the country really helped us improve our perspective when it comes to writing songs,” Leda added.
The result of this growth are two tracks that are bound to be a treat for fans of the Iloilo band who have waited a year for new music.
‘Everbloom’ and ‘Things Left Untold’ follow contrasting stories in their lyrical themes. ‘Everbloom’ speaks of acceptance and moving forward, while ‘Things Left Untold’ is about reminiscing and still holding back. The band also shares that their “emo phases” has had a strong influence on the songwriting and production of both singles.
While the two tracks are not necessarily connected, as the band admits, the motivation to release both was simply to make the release day extra special for those who have supported them. “We wanted our listeners to have two new tracks from us to listen to, rather than just enjoying one.”
More new music is expected from Pulsing Chunky in the coming months as they work towards a full album drop towards the end of the year.
