Abbreviated from the Japanese term, “kire-ina”, which easily translates to beautiful, KRNA aims to create songs, renditions, live performances and aesthetically remarkable music videos that coincide with the meaning of their name.
The River Gold EP, released in 2018, is a milestone of their combined talents, receiving praise from The Flying Lugaw review for their “breezy production choices, inspiring instrumentals, and powerful vocal performances.” They later opened a new chapter in their discography in 2020 with a single called In Time, promising new sonic experiences to their fans.
KRNA has since been working on their first full length album Kireina. The first single from the album, “Dream Again”, garnered critical acclaim in the music press along with the follow-up single, “I’m Wrong”, which was selected as one of Billboard Philippines’ Top 50 OPM Songs of 2024.
Following a year of radio silence, KRNA is back with a Bandcamp exclusive release called “Past Love” which is set to be released as a pay-what-you-want download on October 15, 2025.
